Marion Home Health Agency

The choice is yours.  You can pick which home health agency provides your care.  It's the patient's choice of which agency to use.

Nine out of ten people say they prefer home care over institutional care. It is the most efficient and compassionate way to care for patients with chronic conditions and those who do not require hospitalization or nursing-home care.

Home care touches all stages of life. It can be acute care following a hospital stay or serious illness; long-term care for someone with a disability or an elderly person in declining health or end-of-life care for a terminally ill patient.

Home Office

The Marion Home Health office is located on the first floor of the Annex Building, next to the Crittenden County Hospital.

Hours of Operation

Office hours Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm. A registered nurse is on call after hours and on weekends and holidays.

Insurance Coverage

If the patient is homebound and meets other Medicare and/or Medicaid guidelines, the services provided by the agency will be covered and paid for by Medicare and/or Medicaid. There may be services not fully covered by these programs. The patient will be made aware of any cost to them at the time of admission.

If the patient has commercial insurance, the staff will contact the insurance carrier to determine coverage under their plan. Coverage and benefits are different for each individual. Health insurance in most cases does not cover the entire cost of home health care. The patient is made aware of their responsibility of payment at the time of admission.

In most cases, both government-funded and insurance-funded home health care require that patients receiving home care be homebound and unable to be out of their homes without assistance.  Patients who are able to drive themselves to the doctor or for out-patient services ordinarily would not qualify for home health services. Also, if a person is out of the home several times a week for non-medical purposes may not qualify.
