Leadership
Carl "Jim" Christensen Chief Executive Officer Carl "Jim" Christensen came on board in July of 2007, bringing 28 years of senior leadership to the executive mix at Crittenden Health Systems. His open-door, participative leadership style is largely the result of his early healthcare positions as director of numerous clinical, administration and clinical support departments. Mr. Christensen has multiple degrees, (A.A., A.S., B.A., M.A., M.S.) the Masters from Ottawa University and has completed all but his dissertation for a Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University. He and his wife, Susan, have four grown daughters. Susan is a Registered Nurse specializing in long- term care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on numerous boards dealing principally with education, healthcare, legislation, and quality. Mr. Christensen comes to Kentucky from Montana and prior to that has led hospitals in Iowa and Illinois. Joe Swab Joe Swab has served as the Chief Financial Officer at Crittenden Health Systems since March of 2005. His work experience includes twenty-two years of healthcare finance, including being the Chief Financial Officer at hospitals in Kentucky and Mississippi. Most recently, he was at Lourdes hospital in Paducah, where his duties included overseeing various financial functions. Joe has a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Binghampton University and a MBA from Tennessee State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of Healthcare Finance Management Association. He is married with two teenage daughters. His hobbies include tennis, raquetball, and golf.
Jan Gregory
Jan became the VP of Human Resources in 1989. She oversees Human Resources, Employee Benefits, Performance Appraisals, Competency Assessments, and Courier Services. She has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Mid Continent College. She belongs to the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also a Board member for TrustCare Health Insurance. In her spare time, she is the Sunday School Secretary and pianist at Barnett Chapel General Baptist Church.
