Speech-Language Pathologist
Crittenden Community Hospital has an immediate opening for PRN Speech Pathologist.

JOB SUMMARY:
Performs evaluations and develops effective client treatment plans to restore, maintain, or prevent decline of client function, by planning and administering medically prescribed speech therapy services for the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric in accordance with current federal, state and local standard governing the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Administers speech-language pathology treatments according to a treatment plan approved by the attending physician.
2.Evaluates effects of speech-language pathology treatments by observing, noting, and evaluating clients progress, providing medically necessary treatment plan modifications.
3.Complete discharge planning by consulting with physician’s social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to client care conferences.
4.Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing client specific programs; instructing families, and care givers in follow-up programs; recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending home health follow-up.
5.Documents client care services by charting in client and department records according to accepted regulatory, corporate and professional guidelines. Records daily treatments per corporate procedures.
6.Participates in community awareness activities, facility in-service training programs, client care conferences, weekly rehabilitation conference, marketing meetings, and any required facility quality assurance meetings.
7.Maintains client confidence and protects facility operations by keeping information confidential.
8.Adheres to JCAHO standards.
9.Promotes and participates in performance improvement activities.

12.Must attend all mandatory meetings.
13.Complies with all applicable state and federal laws and conducts job activities in an ethical manner as outlined in Crittenden Health Systems policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards and practices stipulated in the Corp. Compliance Plan.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION, TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE:
1.Certificate of or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competency from American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
2.Current licenses as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Kentucky.
3.Completes corporate general orientation and also department specific orientation including job competency.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Should be able to lift, sit, stand, stoop, and walk without restriction.
