Crittenden Community Hospital has an immediate opening for PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant.

JOB SUMMARY:
Carries out occupational therapy plan of treatment for the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric as directed by the occupational therapist and participates as an active member of the facility’s rehabilitation team. The Occupational Therapy Assistant may perform treatments in multiple settings including inpatient, swing bed, home health, outpatient, and school system.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1.Provides treatment to clients as directed by the occupational therapist.
2.Record treatments given in medical record.
3.Instruct clients and families in home programs.
4.Communicate with supervisor and other interdisciplinary team members regarding clients progress, problems and plans.
5.Participate in client care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
6.Participate in facility in-service training programs.
7.Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment area and department.
8.Protects facility operations by keeping information confidential.
9.Records daily treatment charges per corporate policy and procedure.
10.Protects clients and associate by adhering to infection control policies and protocols.
11.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with facility and department procedure rules and regulations.
12. Adheres to regulations set forth by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Occupational Therapy Board.
13.Promotes and participates in performance improvement activities.

16.Must attend all mandatory meetings.
17.Complies with all applicable state and federal laws and conducts job activities in an ethical manner as outlined in Crittenden Health Systems policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards and practices stipulated in the Corp. Compliance Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and or ability required. EDUCATION, TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE:
1.Graduate of an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
2.Licensed with the State of Kentucky to practice as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.
3.Successfully completes the corporate general orientation and also department specific orientation including job competency.
4.Must possess good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to client, client family members, and facility staff.
5.Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required.
6. Preferred DPAM Certification.

PHYSICAL DEMAND
Should be able to lift, sit, stand, stoop and walk without restriction.
