Position Title: Home Health Secretary/Receptionist
Location: Crittenden Community Hospital, Marion, KY
Department: Home Health
Employment Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of the secretary is to coordinate and maintain general office practice procedures and assist Director with executive policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Function as secretary for called meetings, and handle incoming and outgoing mail
2.Assist with work in the admission process of patients
3.Maintain good communication skills
4.Receive, translate, and interpret information in regards to referral information
5.Answers telephone, gives, and receives messages.
6.Establishes, maintains, and revises record keeping and filing systems
7.Performs other related duties as assigned
8.Promotes and participates in performance improvement activities

10.Adheres to the corporate values: Respect, quality service, teamwork, simplicity, creativity
11.Must attend all mandatory inservices
12.Complies with all applicable state and federal laws and conducts job activities in an
ethical manner as outlined in Crittenden Health Systems policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards and practices stipulated in the Corp. Compliance Plan.

Education, Training or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Courses in typing and/or shorthand, dictation, office practice preferred
Knowledge of filing procedures and simple bookkeeping

Physical Demands:
Ability to endure long periods of sitting and ability to withstand prolonged periods of use of computer
Ability to lift minimum of 10 lbs.
